All applicants are required to complete the following to determine suitability:
- Pre-training Review (PTR)
- Provide evidence of holding an Unrestricted Electrician's Licence or equivalent issued in an Australian State or Territory.
- Provide evidence of successful completion of the required pre-requisite units either UEEEL0039 or UEERE0051, and unit UEEEL0012.
Please note, unit UEERE0054 is delivered as part of this course and does not form part of the admission requirements. Applicants who have passed this unit prior to course commencement may be assessed for credit towards this unit.
The pre-requisite unit requirements are as follows:
- UEERE0054 Conduct site survey for grid-connected photovoltaic and battery storage systems (Note this unit is offered in the course) and
- UEEEL0039 Design, install and verify compliance and functionality of general electrical installations OR
- UEERE0051 Apply electrical principles to renewable energy design
- UEEEL0012 Install low voltage wiring, appliances, switchgear and associated accessories and
- UEERE0054 Conduct site survey for grid-connected photovoltaic and battery storage systems (Note this unit is offered in the course) OR
- UEERE0055 Conduct site survey for off-grid photovoltaic/genset systems
