Overview

Develop targeted skills to support legal professionals, with the Introduction to Paralegal Services Skill Set (BSBSS00106) at Victoria University (VU).

During this paralegal-services short course, you will learn to work effectively within organisations that provide legal services.

You will acquire skills and knowledge to:

  • provide administrative support
  • update documents using relevant software
  • protect confidential information
  • store and secure legal documents according to policies and procedures.

By the end of the course, you will be ready to apply for paralegal assistant roles, or progress to the Diploma of Paralegal Services (BSB50720).

Course structure

A Statement of Attainment will be issued for nationally recognised units of competency successfully completed. These units of competency from the BSB Business Services Training Package meet industry requirements for an individual who supports paralegal services in legal services contexts.
