Overview

Gain the skills and knowledge required for the service of alcohol under state legislation, with the Responsible Serving of Alcohol (RSA) course.

An RSA certification is mandatory for licensees and staff selling, offering or serving liquor for general, on-premises, late night and packaged liquor licenses.

Short course dates and times: 

Learning at our Footscray Nicholson campus, you will develop skills in the following areas:

  • legal requirements relating to the sale and service of alcohol
  • excessive consumption of alcohol and duty of care
  • monitoring of patron intoxication levels and management of difficult customers
  • alcohol consumption and Australian standard drink facts.

Upon successful completion, you will receive a certificate issued by the Victorian Commission for Gambling and Liquor Regulation (VCGLR). This certification is valid for three years.
