Lyndon has previously worked as a statistics lecturer at several Melbourne universities and as a statistical consultant in the commercial sector. In 2013 he was awarded an Australian Government Office of Learning and Teaching (OLT) Citation for Outstanding Contributions to Student Learning for his teaching of statistics. He has worked on a range of education research projects, most recently examining the socioeconomic disparities in Australian schooling during the COVID-19 pandemic.
