Enjoying a drumming session
Welcome to Victoria University (VU) - we hope it's one of the most memorable times of your life!
A great way to start uni or TAFE is at Orientation. You will meet lots of new people and the events will help you transition in to your new course at VU.
We offer a huge range of activities that you can take part in during orientation. You can take a tour of your new campus, meet your librarian, find out more about your course, join up to a club and lots more. Everything is free so come along and have a great day!
Orientation activities are offered over a four-week period and events happen at different campuses each day - check out the full list of what's on and when.

| Spend a day by the beach before the summer is over! Enjoy the day swimming, playing beach volleyball, Frisbee, team games and having fun! This event is $10 per person, which includes lunch, snacks, drinks and transport to and from Williamstown Beach. Register now as spots are limited. | |||

| Bring your family and friends on a campus tour and experience life at VU. There will be heaps fun activities, eg face painting and a jumping castle. You can also pick up any information you may have missed during Orientation. | |||
Uni Ready
Victoria University invites all new students to attend our UniReady sessions on 19-23 February 2013. These sessions are designed to help you prepare you for life at VU. Sessions will be held at City Flinders, Footscray Park and St Albans campuses.
Choose the most convenient time and place for you. You can participate in the sessions either consecutively or on separate days, in whichever order.

| A 3-hour introduction to University life, with a particular focus on academic and study skills. This workshop will familiarise you with the University setting, explaining in some detail what is expected of you as a student, which study skills you’ll need to harness, and how academic writing, assessments and feedback can work for you! Bookings are essential. | |||
Evening orientation
Can't make it during the day? Not a problem, we are hosting an orientation information session. Find out everything you need to know about support services, administration, take a tour of the campus and chat to staff. A child care service will be operating on the night so bring the kids!

- find your way around your campus
- visit the first four weeks page for tips
- check your specific college web pages for information about different academic areas
- let us know if you need help or advice
- join a club or society
- join in on campus events and campus life activities
- pick up a copy of the student diary
- check resources available to you from the library
- if you have any questions that aren't answered on the web, you can ASKVU 24 hours a day.
