Professional Development (PD) Units

PD Units combine activities, classes and projects to develop professional readiness. PD units are unique to VU and were designed with extensive industry input. You'll do three PD units in order, numbered for the year of your degree:

PD1 - Critical Thinking and Problem Solving will develop your critical thinking, problem solving and collaborative working skills through group and teamwork, interactive class-based activities, team-based projects and a case study approach to business issues.

PD2 - Analysis and Strategy will see you gathering and evaluating business information to help inform effective business decision making. You'll continue to build on your PD1 skills - and apply them toward planning the shape of your own future career.

PD3 - Leadership and Challenge brings all your skills together and puts them on display - you'll implement a business project. Your projects may be located in the workplace, the community, or on-site, and may be supported by Alumni and Business Mentors as Project Managers.
