The AFL Elite Experience will be held at Footscray Park Campus:

  • Dates: Friday 1 October
  • Hours: 9am–3.30pm (aftercare available until 5.30pm).

Please note: we require asthma, allergy, medication and/or behavioural forms to be provided as relevant. These are available under About our programs.

About the AFL program

Join Western Bulldogs AFLW players Elisabeth Georgostathis and Isabella Grant for a full day of AFL action.

Come along and find out what it takes to make it at an elite level! The day includes:

  • fitness testing – find out how you rank against the elite athletes
  • skills work with AFLW players
  • age-relevant movement and drills.


The AFL program is suitable for children aged 9–12 years old.

Kids will walk off the footy field with improved crucial game skills and greater game awareness and strategy, including:

  • kicking
  • marking
  • hand-balling
  • attacking and defending skills
  • one-on-one play skills
  • goal-kicking.

What to bring

Your child will need:

  • their favourite footy team colours
  • runners and footy boots (footy boots are optional)
  • shorts/pants
  • t-shirt
  • jumper
  • hat
  • sunscreen
  • water bottle
  • snacks
  • healthy lunch (or join the Hot Lunch Friday for $12).


The AFL Elite Experience costs $75.

Player profiles

Elisabeth Georgostathis

Elisabeth is a hard-working forward taken with pick No. 9 in the 2019 AFLW Draft, who managed every match in her debut season. She captained the Western Jets in the NAB League and won their best and fairest, averaging almost 20 disposals and more than four tackles per game to also be named in the Team of the Year. Outside of footy, she is studying a Bachelor of Education (P-12) at Victoria University and hopes to be a primary school teacher.

Isabella Grant

Isabella made history by becoming the Bulldogs’ first father-daughter selection, following in the footsteps of father and club legend, Chris. She was selected in the 2019 NAB League Team of the Year after a solid season with the Western Jets. Outside of footy, she has aspirations to work in neuroscience or psychology.


Our AFL holiday program is located in the Footscray Park Aquatic & Fitness Centre, Building L, Level 0.

Please meet at at Building L, Level 1, basketball courts.

All activities happen within our high-quality facilities which form part of the University’s elite sport and exercise precinct. Our facilities include:

  • ovals located at the entrance to the Sport, Exercise and Active Living precinct
  • two indoor basketball courts
  • two multi-purpose courts
  • indoor 25m x 25m heated swimming pool.
