Basketball program
Ready, set, shoot! Check out the VU Sport school holiday basketball program.
This April holidays, kids can take play basketball as part of the multi-sport program at Footscray Park Campus.
Please note: we require asthma, allergy, medication and/or behavioural forms to be provided, as needed.
About the program
On-court skills
Your child will be individually assessed and placed with players of a similar age and skill level. They'll receive individual feedback that can be applied to social, school or club teams.
Our basketball program focuses on:
- skills development
- drill-work
- team-building
- sportsmanship
- small sided games.
When the final whistle blows at the end of the program, kids will walk off court with improved technique and skills including:
- dribbling
- passing
- shooting
- game awareness
- strategy, both attacking and defending.
What to bring
To get set for a week of activities, your child will need:
- basketball shoes or runners
- shorts
- t-shirt
- hat
- sunscreen
- water bottle
- snacks & lunch.
Training like a sporting champion means eating like one too! We promote healthy eating and recommend that you pack a balanced lunch for your child.
Costs
One-day program: $76
Please note: Our programs cannot be claimed on the Child Care Benefit (CCB) claim.
