The Institute for Health and Sport (IHES) has four multi-disciplinary research programs, which cover themes including exercise science, chronic disease, nursing, community and public health, and sport.

  • Clinical & Community Health & WellbeingEnhances and promotes health, wellbeing and equity through applied and translational research in clinical, community and workplace settings.

  • Healthy & Inclusive CommunitiesContributes to healthy communities by enhancing social engagement and impacting behavioural, social, and policy changes.

  • Mechanisms & Interventions in Health & DiseaseResearch into the mechanisms of cells, biological systems and disease, to treat disease and inform policy and practice.

  • Sport Performance & BusinessResearch that enhances the performance of sport in training, competition and the business environments.
