On successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

1. Integrate and apply a broad and coherent body of knowledge of cybersecurity with depth in selected areas of study from the following areas: network security, digital forensics, ethical hacking, cybersecurity professionals, enterprise network management, cloud security, data analytics for cybersecurity, ICT management for cybersecurity
2. Analyse and adapt the latest cybersecurity technologies with intellectual independence, self- learning capabilities and creativity to identify and solve real-world problems with sound decisions and judgement in a broad range of sectors including ICT, government, banking and finance, retail, education, health, media and manufacturing
3. Exhibit a range of technical, analytical, managerial, leadership and interpersonal skills; in depth understanding to the codes of ethics and conducts of cybersecurity professions
4. Exhibit a capacity to undertake IT design and development practice in an independent or collaborative environment with a strong industry focus; and the responsibility and accountability as a lifelong learner for their own learning and professional practice.

You must provide evidence that you've completed an approved English language test and achieved results as described below:

• IELTS (Academic Module): Overall score (no band less than) 6.0 (6.0)
• TOEFL Internet: Overall score (section score no less than) 67 (Listening 12, Speaking 18, Reading 15, Writing 21)
• Pearson Test of English (PTE): Overall score (no section score less than) 50-57 (50)
• University of Cambridge - Advanced (CAE): Total score of 52
• VU English - University Preparation UPU (Undergraduate): Achieved
• English Language School in Sydney (ELSIS)- EAP 2 (advanced): B grade.

RECOGNITION OF PRIOR ENGLISH LANGUAGE STUDIES

Students who don't meet the English language requirements may choose to undertake an intensive English course at the English Language School in Sydney (ELSIS).

Entry into the Bachelor of Information Technology requires you to have completed:

• TAFE: Completion of a cognate (similar discipline) Australian Diploma or Advanced Diploma (or equivalent), will be granted advanced standing of a maximum 96 credit points (Diploma) or 144 credit points (Advanced Diploma).
• Year 12: Completion of an Australian Senior Secondary Certificate (VCE or equivalent) including Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 25 in English (EAL) or at least 20 in any other English; and a study score of at least 20 in any Mathematics.
• International: Completion of an Australian Senior Secondary Certificate (VCE or equivalent) including at least one of the following subjects: Mathematics
  OR
  Completion of an Australian Diploma or Advanced Diploma (or equivalent);
  PLUS:
  IELTS (or equivalent): Overall score of six (with no band less than 6.0 in Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking).
• Mature: Applicants with relevant work, education and/or community experience will be considered for admission to the course.
