Academic transcripts
An academic transcript is a true account of your results achieved in each Victoria University (VU) unit of study in which you have been or currently are enrolled. This transcript is produced on official Victoria University stationery.

Applying for a transcript
Current students
You can apply for a free academic transcript at the end of each semester.
Table 1.1 details when you can obtain one free academic transcript for the upcoming semesters. To obtain a free academic transcript you can either:
- go to a Student Service Centre with your Student ID card
- ask a question in ASKVU including your personal details (name, address, date of birth, student ID number)
- phone +613 9919 6100

Outside the free period, to obtain an academic transcript you can:
On campus
- pay by cash, cheque or credit card at a Student Service Centre (photo ID required)
Off campus
- post a completed academic transcript request form to the address on the form including your payment (cheques made payable to Victoria University)
- send a completed academic transcript request form as an attachment through ASKVU or fax to +613 9919 2853
Please note that there are some exceptions to this. If you are:
- an offshore student - see the offshore students section
- enrolled in Exchange and Study Abroad programs you will have a transcript forwarded to your home institution when semester results are released
- enrolled in the School of Education and you require a transcript for VIT registration, we will forward a transcript to your Faculty office on your behalf when semester 2 results are released
- enrolled in the Youth Transitions Program we will forward a transcript to the School office on your behalf when semester results are released
Graduating students
You can get an official academic transcript listing the award you have received at VU free of charge for a four week period after your graduation ceremony.
To obtain a free academic transcript you can either:
- go to a Student Service Centre with your Student ID card
- ask a question in ASKVU including your personal details (name, address, date of birth, student ID number)
- phone +613 9919 6100
Past students
To get your academic transcript:
On campus
- pay by cash, cheque or credit card at a Student Service Centre (photo ID required)
Off campus
- post a completed academic transcript request form to the address on the form including your payment (cheques made payable to Victoria University)
- send a completed academic transcript request form as an attachment through ASKVU or fax to +613 9919 2853
If you are a pre-1982 VU student or pre-1991 WMIT student please allow up to four weeks for these transcripts to be produced.
Offshore students
If you are an offshore student, we will forward a transcript to your off campus administrator when semester results are released. Academic transcripts are sent to offshore students as per our agreement with partner institutions.
If you need additional transcripts:
- post a completed academic transcript request form to the address on the form including your payment (cheques made payable to Victoria University)
- send a completed academic transcript request form as an attachment through ASKVU or fax to +613 9919 2853
Transcript and postage costs
If you have just graduated you can get your transcript free of charge.
After this you pay a flat fee of $15 for the transcript, including standard postage, both within Australia and to international addresses.
If you would like your transcript sent via Registered or Express post within Australia there is an extra charge of AUD$15. Express Post International is AUD$20. Please include this amount in the Postage/Other row on your academic transcript request form. Please note that Victoria University does not accept responsibility for delays in the delivery of your transcript.

Statement of Attainment
A Statement of Attainment is only applicable to VE/FE (TAFE) students. The statement lists those units passed for courses recognised within the Australian Qualifications Framework. It is produced on official Victoria University stationery with a unique security foil embedded in the paper.
To obtain a Statement of Attainment please mail your academic transcript request form to the address on the form including your payment (cheques made payable to Victoria University). This statement can only be issued from the Examinations Office and is not available from Student Service Centres.
Current students can apply for a free Statement of Attainment at the end of each semester. Refer to Table 1.1 for details.
Certified Statement of Results
You can print a Certified Statement of Results from the MYVU Portal after results are released for that semester. This is an official VU document that can be used where you need official evidence of your results. There is no limit on when and how often you can access this information.
To obtain a Certified Statement of Results please do the following:
- Login to MYVU Portal
- Select the Student tab
- In the Results channel, click on Results link
- Select 'Download in PDF format' at the bottom of the page
- Print page
Some institutions may not accept a Certified Statement of Results and will require an academic transcript or a Letter of Completion.
