During your time at VU you might need to take out a loan. This could be in the form of a VU student loan, HECS-HELP, VET FEE-HELP or FEE-HELP. We can provide you with loans and HECS information and assistance.
If you are a current VU student, we can assist you with study costs through our student loan scheme. The maximum loan amount is $500.

Guarantors are required for all loans greater then $300 and for all borrowers aged under 18 years.
We can provide information and assistance regarding our fees, HECS-HELP, VET FEE-HELP and FEE-HELP.
HECS-HELP is a loan available to eligible Higher Education students that will cover all or part of the study fees. When you are eligible for a HECS-HELP loan, the Australian Government pays the loan amount directly to Victoria University on your behalf.
HECS-HELP debt is recorded for you with the Tax Office against your Tax File Number. For full details on the HECS-HELP loan, please visit the Australian Government's Study Assist website.

VET FEE-HELP is a loan available to eligible TAFE students studying at Diploma level or above from 1 July 2009. It is part of the HELP program. Victoria University is an approved VET FEE-HELP provider.
