Course Objectives

This qualification reflects the role of individuals who possess a sound theoretical knowledge base and use a range of specialised, technical or managerial competencies to plan and carry out work in a legal context in accordance with legislation, regulations and codes of practice relevant to the different jurisdictions

Units and electives

To be awarded the Diploma of Legal Services competency students must achieve a total number of 10 units. Four core units and six elective units.

What's a unit?

A unit or 'subject' is the actual class you'll attend in the process of completing a course.

Most courses have a mixture of compulsory 'core' units that you need to take, and optional 'elective' units that you can choose to take based on your area of interest, expertise or experience.

Admission Information

  • Year 12: Successful completion of VCE or equivalent
  • International: IELTS 5.5
  • Mature: Relevant industry experience, direct or VTAC application
