Course Objectives

This qualification reflects the role of individuals who perform a range of mainly routine tasks in the creative industry sectors, work under direct supervision, and use limited practical skills and fundamental operational knowledge in a defined context. It is, in essence, a preparatory qualification that can be used as a pathway into CUF30107 Certificate III in Media.

Units and electives

Completion of eight units of competence to be eligible for the award of Certificate II in Creative Industries (Media):

  • four core units of study plus
  • 2 specialist units of study (to be selected from the units listed in model qualification structure) plus
  • 2 elective units of study (to be selected from the units listed in model qualification structure).

Specialist: On-air presentation

Specialist: Post-production

Specialist: Research

Specialist: Audio/sound
