Overview

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to support the management of low risk, straight forward Information and Communications Technology (ICT) projects within an organisation.
It applies to individuals who work under a level of supervision but have responsibility to ensure workflow is planned and completed on time and in line with organisational and task requirements.No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication.

Assessment

For Melbourne campuses

Assessment tasks will be designed to reinforce & extend knowledge and skill competence within set & controlled parameters in accordance with each unit’s learning outcomes & performance criteria requirements, including the setting of work based practical application tasks designed to provide evidence of competence outcomes, within periodic and scheduled timelines.

Students will be expected to demonstrate the following required skills:
• support the initiation, control and completion of two different simple small-scale ICT projects, on separate occasions.
• develop a project plan applicable to the individual project objectives, project requirements and project
• comply with requirements and expectations of a project plan
• document and save work.

Required reading

The qualified trainer and assessor will provide teaching and learning materials as required in the form of workbooks produced by the Victoria University and/or via the Victoria University e-learning system.
