About Mercy Health

Mercy Health delivers compassionate health, aged care, and community services to people at every stage of life. Its mission—together we witness God’s mercy and strive for justice in the delivery of compassionate care to our communities—is at the heart of everything it does.

A leader in research across a range of clinical areas, Mercy Health also plays a key role in education and training to continually improve the way care is delivered and to better support people in need.

About our collaboration

This collaboration focuses on creating impactful opportunities across several key areas, including staff training and development, student placements, employment pathways, and volunteering. It also opens doors for collaborative research, shared advocacy initiatives, and joint planning around infrastructure and future growth—particularly in the City of Wyndham and East Werribee, where both organisations have a strong presence.

Together, VU and Mercy Health are committed to improving community outcomes by combining their strengths to deliver real-world education, innovative health solutions, and long-term social benefit.

Research & projects

Victoria University and Mercy Health work together to explore research opportunities in areas of shared interest, including health, mental health, and sustainability. The partnership supports collaboration on joint research funding applications where appropriate and is exploring ways to formalise adjunct and honorary academic positions for Mercy Health staff.

These initiatives aim to strengthen ties between teaching and research, foster innovation, and deliver meaningful outcomes for the communities both organisations serve.
