Children, young people & health in Brimbank
A new report form Victoria University’s Mitchell Institute shows a significant improvement in young people in Melbourne’s inner west undertaking full-time education.
Where you live affects your health. Access to and quality of health and social services varies across urban, regional, rural and remote environments in Australia. People’s health and wellbeing is also influenced by the social and physical characteristics of their communities.
The Mitchell Institute's flagship place-based program, Growing Brimbank, works in partnership with the Brimbank City Council and Victoria University to explore and address these challenges at a local level, taking a holistic approach that addresses risk factors and challenges in health, wellbeing and education.
