Australia's Health Tracker series
Australia's Health Tracker is a comprehensive assessment of Australia’s health, examining the prevalence of various chronic diseases and their risk factors in the Australian population. This series and its national report cards measure progress against 2025 targets for a healthier Australia.
The broad suite of Health Trackers developed in collaboration with the extensive AHPC network of health policy and content experts, are used by a range of policy-makers to inform decision-making at local, state and federal levels.
Australia’s Health Tracker presents data on Australia’s performance in addressing the risk factors that contribute to preventable chronic diseases and compares that against national health targets. Targets and indicators to measure progress for prevention and control of chronic disease were developed through a comprehensive process using seven national expert working groups in 2015.
