Western Bulldogs enter 2019 AFL Finals – win your seat!
Victoria University congratulates its partners the Western Bulldogs on making the 2019 AFL Finals.
To celebrate, VU is launching a competition to give current VU staff and students the chance to win two tickets to the elimination final, along with two seats on the Bulldogs bus destined for Sydney (valued at over $600).
To enter, fill in the entry form and tell us in 50 words or less how you belong to the west before 9am, Thursday 5 September.
Vice Chancellor Professor Peter Dawkins shared his excitement with our long-term partners:
“Three years ago I was in Sydney watching the Bulldogs defeat GWS in that famous preliminary final – taking the Bulldogs to a Grand Final victory. We hope that history can repeat itself and we all have some more celebrating to do after this weekend!”
The Bulldogs’ VFL and VFLW teams have also been outstanding this year, with both playing in the finals series. The VFLW Bulldogs face Collingwood next week at Adcon Stadium to earn their spot in the Grand Final.
Other ways you can show your red, white and blue blood are:
- attend one of two AFL open training sessions this week, Monday at 3pm and Thursday at 9:30am at VU Whitten Oval
- attend the VFLW Semi Final – Western Bulldogs v Collingwood, Saturday 7 September 2:40pm Adcon Stadium.
