Dr Natasha Dwyer – Digital Media
Dr Natasha Dwyer is an Associate Professor in Digital Media at Victoria University.
She coordinates the postgraduate digital media program and the undergraduate digital media specialisation. Natasha is a user experience (UX) design researcher exploring the dynamics of digital trust, an area she worked in as Research Fellow at British Telecom. Of particular interest is the use of social and learning analytics to inform design.
She explores the socio-technical elements of trust, including trustworthiness and designs that enable trust. Since 2023, she has co-led conversational AI projects, with both traditional and practical research outcomes.
One of these projects, the Welcome Room, features in TEQSA's Generative AI Emerging Practice Toolkit.
Dr Horace King – Engineering
Dr Horace King is currently a senior lecturer in the College of Science, Health and Engineering. He is chair of the Bachelor of Engineering (NHEE) and Master of Engineering (NMEN), and reviewer of IEEE Journal of Communications, Antennas & Propagation and Engineers Australia Electrical Engineering Journal.
His teaching expertise is in wireless communications extending to satellite networks, cellular networks and microwave links. Engineering electromagnetics, radio frequency medium and optic fibre infrastructure drive many facets of his research undertakings.
Dr Yanni Bouras – Construction Management
Dr Yanni Bouras is a lecturer with the College of Sport, Health and Engineering. He has been a part of Victoria University since 2011 when he began his undergraduate studies in Civil Engineering. Yanni then completed his PhD with Victoria University in Structural Engineering.
Yanni has taught across both the Engineering and Built Environment disciplines in the College of Engineering and Science. He has experience teaching structural analysis and design, construction techniques and operations, land surveying and building science.
Dr Himanshu Shee – Supply Chain Management (SCM)
Dr Himanshu Shee is currently an Associate Professor at Victoria University, specialising in operations, supply chain and logistics management as well as SAP-APO optimisation.
A recipient of Vice-Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Research and Research Training (supervision), he has contributed significantly to research with over 100 publications.
His teaching experience spans across Australia, China, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Fiji and India, for which he has received Dean’s Outstanding Educator award for his scholarship in teaching. Currently, he is the Course Chair of Master of SCM and head of postgraduate program.
Katherine Gronow Rajek – Early Childhood Education
Katharine Gronow Rajek (she/her) is a Teaching-Focused Academic in Early Childhood Education at Victoria University. Her research investigates trauma-aware pedagogy, Deaf child rights, and inclusive learning environments, with a particular emphasis on sensory and animal-assisted approaches.
She has contributed to national frameworks such as OurWatch’s Early Childhood Framework for Preventing Gender-Based Violence, and her work integrates teaching, research and leadership to advance equity, wellbeing, and innovation in early childhood education and care settings.
Samara van Toledo – Secondary Education
Samara is an educator with over 30 years of experience, currently working as a teaching-focused academic at Victoria University. She specialises in Assessment for Graduate Teaching (AfGT), a final assessment for pre-service teachers (PST) conducted in collaboration with a consortium of universities across Australia. AfGT serves as a pivotal step before new educators enter the profession. Samara is deeply committed to preparing students for successful careers in teaching. In addition, Samara brings a wealth of international teaching experience, having worked in diverse educational environments in Bangkok, Thailand and in London, UK.
Dr Tafadzwa Nyanhanda – Global Public Health
Dr Tafadzwa Nyanhanda is a Lecturer in Public Health and the Course Chair of the Master of Global Public Health in the College of Sport, Health and Engineering, and a member of the Active Living and Public Health research group in the Institute for Health and Sport. She is a Nutrition Scientist with extensive academic and industry experience spanning over 20 years in nutrition, international development, health promotion and public health, undertaking qualitative and quantitative research, policy development and stakeholder engagement activities with diverse groups.
Professor Clarice Tang – Physiotherapy
Clarice is a professor of Physiotherapy with the College of Sport, Health & Engineering, leading the physiotherapy program at VU. She is also an established researcher who specialises in the use of consumer partnership methodologies to co-design and co-produce various health interventions for different chronic disease conditions, in particularly with culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities. Professionally, Clarice is a registered physiotherapist who has extensive experience working across various health settings including in the Emergency Department.
Dr Peter Gill – Psychology & Counselling
Dr Peter Gill is an Associate Professor in Psychology at Victoria University. He has lectured in a range of areas including Counselling, Social Psychology, Intercultural Psychology, Abnormal Psychology, History of Psychology, and Quantitative and Qualitative Research Methods. He is committed to improving the health and wellbeing of vulnerable communities both in Australia, and globally and his broad research area is in men's health. He is a registered Psychologist with experience in forensic, counselling, and community health contexts.
Dr Wenjie Ye (Alex) – Cyber Security
Dr Wenjie Ye (Alex) has several years' experience as a senior software engineer.
His area of expertise is artificial intelligence, blockchain, fog computing, robotics, system automation and vehicle control.

Dr Sherene Ozyurek – Migration Law
Dr Sherene Ozyurek is a barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Victoria and High Court of Australia and is a solicitor in the Supreme Court of New South Wales.
She is an Accredited Specialisation Board Member at the Law Institute of Victoria and is an Adjunct Fellow who lectures in the Graduate Diploma in Migration Law.
Dr Warrick Chilton – Clinical Exercise Science & Rehabilitation
Dr Warrick Chilton, Course Chair for the Master of Clinical Exercise Science and Rehabilitation, is a highly skilled Exercise Physiologist.
Teaching areas of interest include exercise physiology, exercise prescription, musculoskeletal rehabilitation and neurological rehabilitation.
Dr Chilton is a member of Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA) and International Society of Exercise Immunology (ISEI).
