An important part of sitting your exams is finding out how you did! Information about accessing your TAFE and higher education exam results and a description of the academic results codes provide you with all the useful details.

Higher Education results release
Summer School 2012/13 results will be displayed on MYVU Portal in February 2013
Results are released in the following surname order:
- 6.00am: A - F
- 9.00am: G - M
- 12.00pm: N - S
- 3.00pm: T - Z
Results for Special and Supplementary Exams for both semesters are updated on MYVU Portal as soon as the exams are marked by the relevant lecturer and the marks forwarded to the relevant College for processing.
All queries concerning results should be directed to your lecturer or College.
Vocational / Further Education results release
Semester 2 and 5 results displayed on MYVU Portal from Monday 10 December 2012
Results are released in the following surname order:
- 6.00am: A - F
- 9.00am: G - M
- 12.00pm: N - S
- 3.00pm: T - Z
For more specific information about your results contact your College.
Accessing your results
If you are a first time user of MYVU Portal, your password will be set to the default - "Temp" (uppercase T) followed by your date of birth in the format Tempddmmyyyy. For example: 12 May 1983 is written as Temp12051983.
If you have lost or forgotten your password, you can use the MYVU Password Reset feature to reset it. You can Ask a question in ASKVU or phone +613 9919 6100 if you have any problems.
What your results mean
VU uses a range of grades to assess your performance in exams and assignments. If you're not sure what they mean, our description of the academic results codes will help you understand your grades better.
Result codes and grades have also been included for previous institutions that have since merged with Victoria University, including Western Melbourne Institute of TAFE and Footscray Institute of Technology.
