Overview

For students wishing to enter the outdoor professions, the Outdoor Leadership Industry Internship major provides a unique opportunity to combine employment with study in the outdoor industry. Throughout the major, students will engage in a .4 (or equivalent) role in an outdoor leadership organisation during the 2nd and 3rd year of their degrees. The internship major is designed to work in conjunction with their ongoing studies.

Students wishing to undertake the industry internship major will be required to undertake a selection process, managed by the College of Sport, Health and Engineering, and the organisation offering the internship through their standard employment process, to ensure their suitability for the available internship options. This selection process will take place in the second half of the first year of study.
