Overview

This unit describes the skills and knowledge to identify, interpret, use familiar problem-solving strategies and convey mathematical information about whole numbers in familiar and predictable situations. It requires the ability to make estimations, perform a limited range of arithmetic calculations and check the reasonableness of processes and outcomes in relation to the context.

Assessment tasks will be designed to reinforce & extend knowledge and skill competence within set & controlled parameters in accordance with each unit’s learning outcomes & performance criteria requirements, including the setting of work based practical application tasks designed to provide evidence of competence outcomes, within periodic and scheduled timelines.
