Overview

In this unit you will experience the final phase of your capstone project, where you’ll deliver and demonstrate a complete IT solution that meets stakeholder needs. Building on your earlier planning and design, you’ll implement, test, and evaluate your system while producing technical documentation and user support materials. You’ll evaluate and apply AI-supported tools where appropriate to boost efficiency, enhance system quality, and support professional documentation. By the end of the unit, you’ll be able to deliver professional-grade IT systems, justify your technical decisions, and communicate outcomes to diverse audiences, preparing you for graduate roles or further professional practice.

Learning Outcomes

On successful completion of this unit, students will be able to:

  1. Design a complete IT system that addresses real-world problems with AI-powered development tools and services where appropriate;
  2. Evaluate software components including AI-generated code for functionality, performance, security and alignment with requirements;
  3. Justify solutions using experimental results, stakeholder feedback, explainability analyses, and defined performance criteria;
  4. Collaborate in the creation of technical and professional documentation, including manuals, reports, and presentation materials;
  5. Exhibit the system to technical and non-technical audiences, using professional, ethical, and inclusive practices;
