Overview

The aim of this module is to provide performance coaches with underpinning knowledge in sport science, which is essential to designing and implementing successful performance swimming programs and includes: skill acquisition, anatomy and biomechanics, physiology, strength and conditioning, nutrition, psychology, illness as well as injury prevention.

Learning Outcomes

On successful completion of this unit, students will be able to:
