This unit is the second of two units designed to provide students with experience in planning, conducting, analysing and reporting a thesis in an area of specialisation relevant to Clinical Psychology or Community Psychology.  Students will work with a thesis supervisor to and report on a research project, in the form of a 5,000 word literature review and an 8,000 word manuscript suitable for submission to a peer reviewed journal.

Learning Outcomes

On successful completion of this unit, students will be able to:
  1. Exhibit knowledge about the factors to be considered in undertaking and reporting upon psychological research;  
  2. Critically review the literature associated with the Thesis area;  
  3. Implement appropriate methods to collect and analyse data; and  
  4. Produce a Thesis in the form of a manuscript suitable for submission to a reputable peer reviewed journal.
