I undertook a placement at Western Bulldogs in the Sons of The West program. I credit this as one of the greatest experiences the University has offered its students for our success.

Chancellor's Scholarship recipient Carlie Amy Bauer's sporty background led to her Exercise Science degree.

"Hearing how much my brother was enjoying his studies at VU prompted my research into their Exercise Science courses. It was clear that VU is an industry leader in this area and after touring the facilities I was completely sold. Being offered a Chancellor’s Scholarship was an added bonus as I’d already placed the Bachelor of Exercise Science and Psychology as my top choice.

I learnt from brilliant academics who ignited my passion for areas of study I had never previously considered. I was also given a wonderful opportunity to go on exchange to Canada which pushed me out of my comfort zone to learn in a different environment.

I also undertook a semester-long placement at Western Bulldogs in the Sons of The West program. I credit this as one of the greatest experiences the University has offered its students for our success. The placement allowed me to apply theoretical knowledge I had learnt over the first couple of years in my course.

VU’s hands-on approach has meant that in addition to learning theory, we also appreciate why these theories are important and how they can be applied to real-world scenarios.”
