Katherin Sloan found the opportunity to study in Spain at Real Madrid Graduate School Universidad Europea a priceless learning experience.
"I’ve chosen to study Master of Sports Science (Football Performance) because I’ve always loved working within sport teams and want a future working with athletes; monitoring their wellness and training load.
The opportunity through this course to take a study tour to Madrid was one of the best experiences I have had in my studies! We went for a tour around the Real Madrid training facility and had a lecture from Eduardo Parra Garcia, Rehabilitation Fitness Coach and Head of Sport Science in the Real Madrid Academy. This opened my eyes to the inner workings of Real Madrid. We were also fortunate enough to be able to watch a couple of training sessions at the training facility. It was very interesting to observe the different methods of training for each team.
The experiences that this course has presented me with are truly amazing. The University and staff really work to provide all of us with the best education we could have. For example, in Madrid we were taught by industry professionals who had come from all around Europe to teach us! It’s refreshing to understand the concepts of global leadership and talent identification from so many different points of view."
