Katie Miller is a leading government lawyer and advocate and commentator on the ways technology is changing the ways lawyers and government work. Katie has recently co-edited The Automated State: Implications, Challenges and Opportunities for Public Law, the first Australian book to cover in depth the public law implications of government automation.

In 2015, as President of the Law Institute of Victoria, Katie published a report on how technology is changing the legal profession - Disruption, Innovation and Change: The Future of the Legal Profession. As Executive Director, Legal Practice at Victoria Legal Aid, Katie used her idealistic pragmatism to influence the development of VLA's digital strategy to improve the client experience of legal aid services and support practitioners in delivering those services.

Katie is currently General Counsel and National Manager, Legal & Enforcement at AUSTRAC and has been a Deputy Commissioner of the Independent Broad-based Anti-corruption Commission.
