Emily is a Teaching Focused Academic in psychology with a strong commitment to supporting students in their foundational university experience.

She teaches psychology units across the First Year College, serving as convenor of APP1016: Foundations of Psychological Research and co-convenor of APP1012: Psychology 1a. Emily's dedication to student support extends beyond the classroom, where she combines her understanding of psychological principles with practical approaches to help students navigate the challenges of university life. Her work reflects a holistic approach to education that values both academic achievement and personal wellbeing.

Currently completing her PhD, Emily's research focuses on adolescent body image, exploring the interconnections between body appreciation, wellbeing, resilience, and school engagement. Her research interests align closely with her teaching philosophy, as she is passionate about fostering positive development and academic success.
