Royal Flying Doctor Service Victoria
Victoria University (VU) is proud to partner with the Royal Flying Doctor Service Victoria (RFDS Vic) – a not-for-profit organisation committed to breaking down barriers to healthcare access for communities across rural, regional and remote Victoria.
Together, we aim to improve healthcare outcomes for Victorians and provide meaningful learning experiences for the next generation of health professionals.
About our collaboration
VU and RFDS Vic have joined forces to support community health and student development.
Through this partnership, VU students gain access to clinical placements with RFDS Vic mobile patient care team, exposure to telehealth and outreach models, and opportunities to engage with volunteer-led transport and wellbeing programs.
These experiences help students develop practical skills, cultural responsiveness, and a deep understanding of healthcare delivery in diverse settings.
This major alliance supports VU’s mission to create real impact through community-focused partnerships and offers students unique opportunities to contribute to essential health services. Together, we are building a future-ready health workforce that is skilled, compassionate and community-focused.
