If you are LGBTQ+ living in Victoria, Australia with lived/living experience of menopause (including perimenopause and post menopause), we invite you to share your experiences with us.

Learn more about our research project that explores the lived experience of menopause in queer, lesbian, bisexual and/ or trans people in Victoria.

About this project

Despite a growing understanding of the general impact and experiences of menopause, there is little research on how queer people’s menopausal experiences might differ from that of cisgender and/or heterosexual people, especially on the Australian continent.

Our project will explore the lived and living experience of menopause for LGBTQ+ people who live in Victoria.

This research is funded by the Victorian Department of Health and has been approved by VU's Human Research Ethics Committee (HRE25-141).

What participants will do

You will be asked to complete an anonymised survey about your lived experience of menopause.

You are encouraged to respond with as much detail as possible. However, you should not include identifying details, where possible.

At the end of the survey, you will also be asked to opt-in to another form of data collection called ‘body mapping’.
