VU TAFE Open Night 2026 Competition - terms & conditions

By entering the VU TAFE Open Night 2026 Register and Attend Competition ("the Promotion"), you (“the Entrant”) agree to the following Terms and Conditions:

  1. All information on 'how to enter' forms part of these Terms and Conditions. By entering into these Terms and Conditions, each Entrant warrants that they have read, understood and agree to be bound by the Terms and Conditions.
  2. The Promoter is Victoria University (ABN: 83 776 954 731, CRICOS Provider No. 00124K) PO Box 14428, Melbourne, Victoria 8001.
  3. The Promotion commences on Wednesday 12 August 2026 at 8:00am AEST and closes on Thursday 22 October 2026 at 7:00pm AEDST (“the Promotion Period”). Any entry that is not received during the Promotion Period will be invalid.
  4. Entrants will receive a confirmation email at the time of their entry.
  5. The draw will take place at 2pm AEDST on Monday 26 October 2026 at Victoria University, Footscray Park Campus.
  6. The Promoter will randomly select four Entrants (each a “Winner” or collectively “Winners”).
  7. The Promoter will contact the Winners by telephone (if available) and email to confirm the Entrant is the winning entry on Monday 26 October 2026.
  8. If contacted by the Promoter, you have 14 days to respond to the Promoter’s contact to confirm your email address. If you do not respond, once that period has lapsed, you forfeit your prize, and VU will select another Winner. Unsuccessful applicants will not be notified.
  9. Winners’ names will be published on the Victoria University website https://www.vu.edu.au.
  10. Winners will be emailed their prizes to their nominated email address and will not be able to collect the prize in person.

Eligibility

  1. To be eligible to claim a Prize, you must meet the following criteria:
    1. be an Australian Resident, Australian citizen, Australian Permanent resident, NZ citizen or holder of a Permanent Humanitarian Visa;
    2. be aged 15 years and over;
    3. be an individual (not a company or other entity); and
    4. attend the Sunshine Campus VU TAFE Open Night on the 22nd of October 2026 as verified by on-the-day attendance registration
  2. Employees and immediate family members of the Promoter or associated agencies and/or companies in any way involved in the Promotion, are not valid entrants in the promotion.
  3. Incomplete, illegible, or incorrect entries, or entries containing offensive or defamatory comments, or which breach any law or infringe any third-party rights, including intellectual property rights, will not be eligible to win.

How to enter

  1. Entrants must complete all required sections of the VU TAFE Open Night entry form and attend the VU TAFE Open Night event.
  2. Entrants may enter the Promotion once only.

Personal information

By entering the Promotion, the Entrant agrees and acknowledges that:

  1. The Promoter will collect the Entrant’s personal information, including the Entrant’s name, likeness and email address, which it will keep in accordance with the VU privacy policy, located at http://www.vu.edu.au/privacy.
  2. By entering the Promotion, the Entrant agrees to receive information and marketing communications from the Promoter.
  3. In the event that the Entrant is a Winner of the Promotion, the Entrant consents to the disclosure, publication and dissemination of their name and likeness for the purposes of the Promotion, and VU’s advertising and marketing purposes (as a Winner of the Promotion).
  4. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any entries not received for any reason during the Promotion Period. No responsibility will be taken for lost, late, incorrect or misdirected entries. The Promoter is not responsible for technical difficulties with the entry mechanism and does not warrant that the entry mechanism will be available at all times.

Prize details

  1. There are 4 prizes to be won. Each prize will consist of a Victoria University virtual gift pay card to the value of $250.
  2. The prize value is correct as at the date of printing.
  3. The prize is not transferable or exchangeable.

Decision final

  1. In all matters relating to the Promotion all decisions of the Promoter and its staff will be final and cannot be contested. No correspondence or discussions will be entered into.
