Represent VU in sport
All Victoria University students are eligible to represent the University and you can also volunteer your services in a variety of areas including sports administration, managing and coaching.
Whether it's on the field or court, in the pool or on the slopes - we are always looking for the strongest and most-determined competitors to join our teams and bring home the gold.
University Basketball League Australia
Now in its sixth season, the University Basketball League Australia (UBL) will return in 2026 with more teams competing. The season will tip off in early August, concluding with finals in late October.

Unisport Nationals
Become a Victoria University (VU) Vulture and represent the University at Australia’s premier university sporting competition.
The 2026 UniSport Nationals is a week-long, multi-sport event and will be held in Perth, Western Australia from 27 September—3 October.
The Unisport Nationals gives you the opportunity to compete against students from 42 other universities across Australia in a number of sports, striving to become a national champion.
Unisport Nationals Snow
All the fun and ferocity of the regular Nationals, just on snow! The event attracts student-athletes from all over Australia in a fierce battle competing in ski and snowboard disciplines, including:
- Alpine and Snowboard Giant Slalom
- Alpine and Snowboard Super G
- Ski Cross and Snowboard Cross
- Ski Slopestyle and Snowboard Slopestyle
- Alpine Cross Country
- Ski and Snowboard Rails
In 2026, Nationals Snow will be held at Mt Buller, Victoria. Dates are yet to be confirmed.

Unisport National Championships
There are a number of sports that don't fit into the main Nationals or Snow events. These sports cater for the more-unique individual and team sports. The various events are spread over the year, with students from all across Australia competing in their speciality events.

Become a VU Sport Team Manager
In preparation for 2026 Unisport Nationals, we are looking for Sport Team Managers to join the Vultures leadership team, recognised under the Student Leadership Framework.
Sport Team Managers will provide assistance in the training and selection of their team, among other responsibilities, including recruitment, planning, team administration and other tasks to get the team ready for competition.
