Design project and oral presentation (Group)
The tests are designed to assess students' understanding of the National Construction Code (NCC), building legislation, and Australian standards. The report requires students to identify and elucidate the application of NCC 2022 and Deemed to Satisfy Provisions for a specific building class. In the team design project and oral presentations, students undertake a case study of a building, detailing the relevant NCC requirements, the management of non-compliance issues, and the occupancy permit process.
The group assignment and presentation include an evaluation of the contributions made by each member of the team to facilitate the assessment of students' achievement of learning outcomes.
