Delivered over half a day, this 4-hour online workshop is led by an expert facilitator. You'll learn how to engage and build trust with your audience and prevent or resolve conflict in the workplace.
By the end of the workshop, you’ll be able to identify potential barriers to clear and concise communication and overcome them using proven communication strategies.
This professional development program is offered to a broad range of individuals, who are seeking to improve their communication skills or to expand their skill set to access employment or promotion. It is anticipated participants will be existing workers with a range of experiences in diverse workplace contexts, members of community groups, sporting organisations who are seeking to develop their communication for effective leadership.
The program is delivered over a single four (4) hour workshop via an online platform, facilitator led delivery will provide an overview of platform being utilised and expectations of participation whilst ensuring any participant technology issues are addressed. This course will be facilitated via webinar or zoom scheduled times, including short videos, and electronic resources provided to participants and involves group discussions to support the key principles related to effective communication for leadership.
At the completion of this workshop participants will be able to:
- Identify purpose and audience for communication
- Describe communication strategies
- Identify potential barriers to effective communication

This course has no specific admission requirements.
The program requires participants to have basic level computer skills to access and operate the online learning software to navigate a webpage and find information, attend a webinar using zoom or webex for online delivery. If the course is being delivered face-to-face onsite, computer access is not required.
