VU Tech Schools - STEM programs for local high schools

Victoria University's Wyndham Tech School and Brimbank Tech School are STEM learning hubs that connect education with industry, innovation and future careers.

Funded by the Victorian Government and part of a state-wide network, our Tech Schools provide free, hands-on STEM programs to secondary students enrolled at schools either in Wyndham and Hobsons Bay, or Brimbank.

Through close partnerships with local industries, we give students in Melbourne’s west a unique opportunity to work on authentic projects, meet professionals and see tangible career pathways, bridging the gap between learning and the future world of work.

About our Tech Schools

Our Tech Schools bring together education, industry and community to design and deliver curriculum-aligned programs. These programs help secondary students:

  • explore emerging technologies
  • connect classroom learning to real-world industries
  • develop transferable skills such as collaboration, problem solving, project management, design thinking and more
  • connect with their future careers.

Teachers also benefit through free professional learning opportunities, building their own digital and pedagogical confidence to strengthen STEM education back at their schools.
