Victoria University students set for 2024 University Basketball League (UBL)
VU students are set to hit the courts for the 2024 University Basketball League (UBL) season, after months of preparation.
Established in 2021 with VU as one of eight foundation universities, the UBL has developed into a prominent basketball competition; providing a platform for students to represent their university on the national stage. Its fourth season will see 14 universities from five states participate in both men's and women's divisions.
Joining the league for the first time in 2024 is The University of New South Wales (UNSW), further expanding the UBL's reach and competition level, and solidifying its status as a premier platform to showcase collegiate basketball talent.
The 2024 season promises an exciting twelve-week schedule, packed with more than 130 games played on university campuses across the nation. With all games livestreamed free and on demand, basketball enthusiasts and supporters can catch or catch up on every dribble, dunk and buzzer-beater, across the season.
This season includes nine weeks of home and away games and three weeks of finals, concluding with grand finals on 29 May 2024. VU's men's and women's teams are poised to make their mark, building upon solid performances from previous UBL campaigns.
The 2024 UBL tips off 19 March 2024, with VU playing ACU in Round 1.
Bring your friends, classmates and colleagues to the home of the Vultures at the VU Whitten Oval community stadium, for an afternoon of fun, competition and rivalry.
