6,000 students and counting: the VU Clothes Swap making a difference

The VU Clothes Swap is about much more than refreshing your wardrobe. It’s a practical, sustainable program supporting Victoria University students with the everyday essentials they need to study, work, attend placement and feel comfortable.
Since the program began in 2024, it has supported around 6,000 students, providing access to donated items including:
- Everyday clothing
- Shoes and footwear
- Essential items
- Professional and placement uniforms
- Bedding and linen
- Seasonal clothing and more.
And it’s all free.
Whether you need an outfit for placement, a warm jacket, a pair of shoes, bedding, or simply something new to wear, students are welcome to browse what’s available.
Staff and students can also help keep the program going by donating good-quality items they no longer need. Every donation helps another member of our VU community while also giving clothing and essential items a second life.
