Werribee Zoo Safari

Spring weather, daylight savings, end of block approaching - ideal time to connect with nature through our Werribee Zoo Safari!

On 28 October, we will be taking our VU bus to the Werribee Zoo for this SSAF-funded event. It is a great opportunity to view the new spaces at the zoo, see the animals and enjoy some fresh air and sunshine.

The bus will depart:

• Footscray Park - from the carpark outside of Building L (next to the pool) at 10am
• Footscray Nicholson campus - from the carpark near Building N at 10.20am
• Werribee campus - from outside the campus gym at 10.45am.

For those new to Werribee Zoo, there is a Safari Bus, which is a key feature of this zoo and departs at intervals throughout the day.  As part of this experience, we will have a Safari reserved for us!  We will have the rest of the day to explore the zoo at our own pace, leaving the zoo at 2.30pm to return back to each campus for drop off at Werribee campus by 2.45pm, Footscray Nicholson by 3.20pm & Footscray Park by 3.45pm.

Please be at the pick up locations 15mins prior to pick up time to ensure you do not miss the bus!

There is a lot of walking, so we recommend wearing comfortable clothing and shoes. It is spring in Melbourne - so bring a hat, sunnies, sunscreen, a jumper - maybe even a light jacket!  

Food is available for purchase at the zoo, or you can BYO.  Water fountains are available throughout the zoo, or you could bring your own bottle.
