VU staff and higher degree research (HDR) students are welcome to join the Wednesday Morning Write-Ups.
Join other writers in a friendly and relaxed environment (on campus or online) for short bursts of concentrated writing time (referred to as a pomodoro), with regular breaks in between. The Wednesday Morning Write-Ups are loosely modelled on the original Shut Up and Write.
Schedule
A host keeps time, guiding the group through the routine of pomodoros and breaks. During pomodoros, participants focus on writing and cannot talk, and phones are on silent. Late comers can join during break times.
To make the most of the session, prepare ahead to determine the topic, purpose and format of your writing.
