You're hustling, and it feels good. Until it doesn't anymore.

When did hustle culture become the norm, and a stand-in for performance? In this 3-hour workshop, we'll challenge that idea together. We'll look at why exhaustion has come to look like commitment, and what the research says about the role of rest and recovery in sustaining the way you lead.

This is a practical, training-style session. You'll design your own rest and recovery plan based on your context, build it into your weekly schedule, and learn the skills that keep you performing over the long term, including self-compassion as a performance skill, motivation and discipline leading yourself, not just others.

Session objectives

By the end of this workshop, you will be able to:

  • Explain why recovery is a requirement for sustainable performance, and how hustle culture distorts that picture
  • Distinguish between rest and recovery, and identify where each fits in your current routine
  • Recognise early indicators of overload before they affect your decision-making, focus and leadership
  • Apply self-compassion as a performance skill that sustains motivation and consistency.

Come curious, come honest, and come ready to rethink what performance really looks like.
