Hormonal health through life: From PMOS to menopause

VUSU, in collaboration with VU Wellbeing and VU’s health partner, Western Health, presents an informative and interactive health seminar series for women and gender-diverse students and staff.

Hormone changes throughout the lifespan can have a significant impact on how we feel. This session is looking at two very common conditions polyendocrine metabolic ovarian syndrome (formerly known as Polycystic ovary syndrome) and menopause to better understand what they involve, when to seek help and what management options are available. Dr Corinne Glenn from Western Health, will share her expertise on this topic, followed by an opportunity for participants to ask questions.

Everyone is welcome. This session is open to all VU students and staff, regardless of gender. Whether you are experiencing relevant health issues yourself, supporting someone who is, or simply want to learn more about the topic, you are welcome to attend.

The session will include:

• An engaging presentation from our guest speaker and health partners
• Information about relevant health, wellbeing and support services available in VU and Australia for our students and staff
• An open Q&A session where participants can ask questions
• Light lunch and refreshments will be available after the seminar, with an opportunity to connect with other attendees and visit information stalls.

About Dr Corinne Glenn

Dr Corinne Glenn is a Specialist General Practitioner who is passionate about providing trauma informed women's health care. Dr Glenn is the Clinical Lead of Western Health's Women's Health Hub and also works in custodial health providing care for conditions including heavy menstrual bleeding, endometriosis, persistent pelvic pain, premenstrual dysphoric disorder and menopause. She is a proud provider of all kinds of long-acting reversible contraceptives (LARCs), medical abortion and gender affirming care.
