Holi Festival Celebration

Whether you've celebrated Holi your whole life, or this is your first time, this event is for you!

The Victoria University Postgraduate Association (VUPA), in collaboration with Victoria University Student Union (VUSU) and VU India Club, invites you to the 2026 Holi Festival Celebration.

Holi is the ancient Indian "Festival of Colours" which marks the victory of harmony and the arrival of a new season. It’s a time to let go of the past, meet new friends and celebrate our diverse community at VU.

What to expect

• Free white t-shirt: Grab a white t-shirt at the entrance so you can see the colours pop (first come, first served!).
• Organic colours: We provide 100% biodegradable, non-toxic and skin-friendly cornstarch colours.
• Authentic Indian food: Enjoy a delicious spread of traditional Indian street food from our food truck.
• Live DJ and stage: Dance the afternoon away with a mix of Bollywood hits and chart-toppers.
• Networking: Meet your VUPA board and fellow postgraduate students from all departments.

Things to know

• What to wear: While we provide some t-shirts, we recommend wearing clothes you don't mind getting colourful!
• Media consent: By purchasing a ticket, you consent to photographs and/or videos being taken during the event which may be used for promotional and marketing purposes by the organisers.
