For the first time since 2019, the VU Three Minute Thesis (3MT) competition final is being held live – come and be part of the action! This is a great opportunity for the VU community to find out more about our research students' projects.

Following the Research Institute Heats, seven PhD students are heading to the final on Wednesday 30 July at 3pm.

All VU staff and students are invited to join us in Building M, room M001, Footscray Park Campus, to find out who will secure the chance to represent VU at the Asia Pacific Final.

Our VU finalists are:

  •   Marwah Alharbi - From Reviews to Results: Smarter Decisions with AI-Powered Analysis
  •  Jordan Swiderski - Protecting the kidney against chemotherapy toxicity
  •  Khadija Sultana - Designing AI as a Teaching Assistant for the Students in Higher Education
  •  Patricia Bayer - Neuroprotective effects of exercise in people diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease
  •  Rosanna Baini OAM - Reshaping Laser Regulations for the Cosmetic Industry in Australia
  •  Rose Lyons - Designing and delivering effective mental health education
