Office 365 for students & staff
As a VU student or staff, you can download and install Office 365 for free on up to 5 personal computers/devices after logging in to your email account.
Supported devices
The Office 365 ProPlus software is available as part of the Microsoft Student Advantage program and can be accessed on the following computers/devices:
- Office 365 ProPlus for PC/Windows
- Office 365 ProPlus for Mac
- Office mobile for iPhone
- Office mobile for Android.
Once installed, you can use Office 365 offline or online.
Office 365 for PC/Windows
On a PC you can use the following products:
- Word
- Excel
- PowerPoint
- OneNote
- Access
- Publisher
- Outlook
- Lync
- InfoPath
- OneDrive.
Office 365 for Mac
On a Mac you can use the following products:
- Word Excel
- PowerPoint
- Outlook
- OneDrive.

Follow these Microsoft instructions for installing Microsoft 365 apps.
If you're prompted to register or login with your work account, enter your username e.g. for students and for staff.
Office 365 ProPlus licence
Students currently enrolled at Victoria University are eligible for the Office 365 ProPlus Licence. To keep the software activated, you must connect to the internet at least once every 30 days.
Once you have graduated, the Office 365 ProPlus licence will expire. You can remove a licence from a computer via the Office 365 Settings > Software page.
