VU is a proud supporter of WalkWest. Entry is FREE and the first 50 people to register with the Victoria University team receive a free T-Shirt.
You can participate in the following events:
- 5km walk
- 5km run
- 10km walk
- 10km run.

WalkWest is an event that caters for the whole family. The WalkWest Village at Doug Mills Reserve, Maribyrnong will be alive with fun, family activities for parents and kids, while the event participants run or walk to raise funds for the Sunshine Kids.
WalkWest will start and finish at Doug Mills Reserve and run along the picturesque Maribyrnong River and up to Coulson Gardens before heading back to The WalkWest Village.
Funds raised from WalkWest will directly assist the kids of the west by supporting the Sunshine Kids Appeal Program.
Be part of our fundraising with every donation supporting kid's health at Sunshine Hospital.
If you do not wish to walk or run in the event you can still participate by joining our fundraising page to help raise money to support kid's health at Sunshine hospital.

VUnite is a community program that allows students, staff, alumni and friends of VU to get involved as either participants or volunteers in large-scale events that promote healthy, active lifestyles and charitable causes. These events cater for people of all ages and abilities.
