Assessment tasks will be designed to reinforce and extend knowledge and skill competence within set and controlled parameters in accordance with each unit's learning outcomes and performance criteria requirements, including the setting of work based practical application tasks designed to provide evidence of competence outcomes, within periodic and scheduled timelines. Students will be expected to demonstrate the following required skills: - read and interpret textual information; - synthesise and summarise information, and; - problem solving skills to compare and analyse a range of information related to the economy and society.Students will also be expected to demonstrate the following knowledge: - economic traditions to enable their key concerns to be identified; - theories on the historical emergence of capitalism to enable their analysis; - a range of views on the consequences of economic globalisation to enable their comparison, and; - responses to economic globalisation to enable their analysis.
