Assessment

Assessment tasks will be designed to reinforce and extend knowledge and skill competence within set and controlled parameters in accordance with each unit's learning outcomes and performance criteria requirements, including the setting of work based practical application tasks designed to provide evidence of competence outcomes, within periodic and scheduled timelines. Students will be expected to demonstrate the following required skills: - communication skills to participate in planning process to investigate options, contribute to a discussion relevant to own needs and participate in interactions to determine suitability of options; - problem solving skills to identify potential options and select most suitable; - self management skills to monitor and adjust action plan, and; - planning and organisation skills to meet with a support person to develop an action plan for the selected option.Students will also be expected to demonstrate the following knowledge: - sources of information to access information about options, and; - purpose of an action plan to assist investigation of options.
