Overview
The purpose of this module is to provide the participant with the skills and knowledge to
read, interpret and produce documents and plans used in the construction industry.
Assessment
For Melbourne campuses
• Comply with OHS legislation, regulation, Codes of Practice applicable to workplace operations.
• Comply with workplace/organisational policies and procedures.
• Communicate and work safely and effectively with others.
• Read and interpret the symbols and features of a minimum of two different site plans.
• Select and demonstrate the appropriate plan and drawing techniques for given tasks including a minimum of one site plan, one floor plan and one elevation plan for a structure containing floor, walls and roof.
Specific unit assessments are located in the learning and assessment plans within the School.
